The Bad

• “Optimized” kernel doesn't make use of some of the better features of 2.4, like built-in sound support for SB Live
• Mandrake is the only distro to cause GNOME applets to crash
• “Vanity” backgrounds are inappropriate for adults; glitches preclude ease of use by kids
